On this episode, we talk with Laura Wolf (one of our very favorites)! Laura just released her new EP, 'Artifacts', so we talk with her about writing those songs, why learning-it-all-herself is part of her creative process, and a few of the other Laura Wolfs (Laura Wolves?) out there. I also spring a pop quiz on her, and we debate if there is such a thing as a "bad word".

In this episode, we talk with Norwalk-then-New-York's Beau Dega! Our conversation includes venue politics, releasing 50 songs in a year and a half, and playing guitar in Powerviolets. I give Beau a pop-quiz on obscure Connecticut trivia at the end. How does Norwalk's Favorite Son do on the quiz? You have to tune in to find out. We recorded this episode a couple of months back, right after Powerviolets (and Beau) played a show in CT. Be sure to check out Beau's music on bandcamp and all the usual streaming services!

In this episode, we talk with Hellrazor, Heele, and Jobber! (Michael Falcone; Kate Meizner; Michael Henss) We talk about their new music, spooky spots in Connecticut, pro-wrestling, and exploitative battles of the bands. And hey, did you know that Hellrazor was the subject of one of our first posts on our site? We were covering their video for "Landscaper", which we touch on here. We recorded this episode a few weeks before HEELE released their EP, so you'll hear it discussed in the future tense. But guess what? It's already out and you can check it out at their bandcamp page or any of your favorite streaming services.

#033: Glambat can feel god in this Space Ballroom tonight
Friday Jul 16, 2021
Friday Jul 16, 2021
We are joined by Em Alderman and John Romano of Glambat! True ctverses stans will know that our very first blog post was about a Glambat show at MAC650, so we were very excited to get to the bottom of such pressing questions as "Is Glambat an Industry Plant?", "Is Andy a real person?", "Which is louder: Connecticut or Philly?" and "What do you have against steamed cheeseburgers?". If you've ever dissociated on the couch at Blind Moose, then this is the episode for you.
And hey, if you listen close enough you may just hear a sneak peek of a new song ("Elm City Jesus")!
